Marine Museum of the Great Lakes

The Marine Museum of the Great Lakes at Kingston, Ontario, Canada and the Museum Ship Alexander Henry is open year round for individual and group tours including school tours. Tours can be guided. Bus tours are welcome. Marine history researchers will find extensive collections of documents, books, photographs, artefacts, ship plans, tools, and records. Located in downtown Kingston, Ontario just minutes from City Hall, the Marine Museum of the Great Lakes at Kingston is a primary tourist destination in Kingston. The museum is wheel chair accessible and offers handicap facilities. For researchers the Marine Museum of the Great Lakes at Kingston offers an outstanding research facility, which includes the The Audrey Rushbrook Memorial Library, and The Gordon C. Shaw Study Centre. As part of a larger research resource base Museum staff would be pleased to refer you to other institutions, national and international when we are unable to meet your research requirements. Researchers interested in making use of the Museum's facilities are encouraged to book in advance with the Curator.
