I am a student in my final year at UC Berkeley
writing my thesis in legal studies. My study focuses on the
perceptions and representations of protest violence on the part of
state and non-state actors, as revealed through commentators, ranging
from state officials, popular presses, and social media, in the United
States and China. I greatly appreciate and thank those who have made
any contributions about their experiences during the Hong Kong
Umbrella Protests or the Ferguson Protests.
